When I initially joined my husband's business, I lacked experience in the realm of video production. However, as it became “our” business, I quickly discovered that my background in interior design was a valuable asset—similar principles, different product.

Over the past four years, I have been fortunate to apply those core similarities and grow exponentially.

Being an owner, and Team + HR Manager I have taken on tasks such as:

  • Building and implementing interview processes, on-boarding & off-boarding, policies & handbooks, payroll systems, benefits, and teambuilding opportunities

  • Building, implementing, and training quarterly reviews and performance improvement plans

  • Building and implementing systems to maintain high team moral

  • Managed delicate conversations with team members and clients

  • Managed Accounts Payable and Recievable

  • Building and managing contracts with over 50 vendors

Resilience is key

I feel that being a small business owner is synonymous with being resilient. Resilience has caused me to thrive on embracing new challenges, seeking knowledge, and embracing failure as a catalyst for progress. Throughout my journey, I have discovered a genuine passion for areas like team building and personal growth.

While I will be transitioning away from the day-to-day operations of our current business, I am filled with excitement about applying the valuable lessons I've learned to a new creative team. It's an opportunity to channel my strengths and flourish in a field that has always inspired me.
